QUALITY ASSURANCE

The Quality Assurance Department of Grand Gedeh University is responsible for ensuring that all academic and administrative activities meet or exceed national standards set by the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) and other relevant bodies. Its primary objective is to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the institution.

Key functions would likely include:

· Academic Oversight: Monitoring curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and student assessment to ensure they align with the university's mission and national accreditation requirements.

· Performance Evaluation: Conducting regular reviews of academic programs, faculty performance, and student services.

· Compliance and Accreditation: Ensuring the university adheres to all regulations and standards required for institutional and program accreditation.

· Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data on student performance, graduate outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to identify areas for enhancement.

In essence, the department serves as a vital mechanism for upholding the university's commitment to delivering a high-quality education and maintaining its credibility

CAMPUS LIFE

Student Support Services

The Grand Gedeh University provides comprehensive student support services to ensure a fulfilling academic experience. Our Guidance and Counselling Centre offers academic, personal, and vocational counselling to help students navigate university life effectively. Financial assistance programs, including scholarships and other forms of assistance most of whom are sourced from outside, are available for eligible students.

The Student Affairs Division is dedicated to student welfare, student discipline, and extracurricular engagement.

Campus Facilities

GGU boasts of competitive learning environment to support learning and student development. With its present status having being upgraded from the level of a university college, efforts are being made to upgrade the current library to a fully equipped facility with digital and physical resources to facilitate research and study. Similar initiatives are being directed towards modern laboratories, well-maintained lecture halls, and a state-of-the-art IT center to be constructed by a prominent Liberian Businesswoman, Mrs. Eva Youboty – Wallace who has decided to invest the amount of One million United States dollars (USD 1 Million).

Also, the Grand Gedeh Associations in the America (GGAA) has broken ground for a modern sports and recreation park that will include a football stadium, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pool, shops, restaurant, gymnasium etc. These will enable students to engage in various sporting activities for fitness and relaxation.

Student Organizations

There are numerous student organizations at GGU, ranging from academic societies to cultural and religious groups. These organizations help students develop leadership skills, network, and engage in meaningful extracurricular activities.

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) represents students’ interests and organizes various programs, while clubs like the Science and Technology, Health and the Dramatic and Debate Society offer students opportunities to express themselves and contribute to society.

Campus Events

GGU hosts a variety of events throughout the academic year, including academic conferences, cultural festivals, sports tournaments, and student talent showcases. The Convocation Ceremony is a highlight, celebrating the achievements of graduating students.

Other notable events include the annual Student Week, Career Fairs, and guest lectures from renowned professionals and alumni.
