Institutional Mission and Vision: Overview of the institution’s goals, values, and long-term vision:

The Grand Gedeh University College (GGUC), formerly the Grand Gedeh County Community College (GGCCC) was enacted in 2011 by the 52nd Legislature of the Republic of Liberia as a tertiary institution to operate in Grand Gedeh.

The University College operates five (5) academic departments namely: Agriculture, Business & Public Administration, Health Sciences, Religion & Philosophy, and Science & Technology, and one (1) College of Education. The institution offers Associate Degrees in General Agriculture, Accounting, Business Management, Public Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Geology, Construction Engineering, and Divinity and a bachelor’s degree in education; and has enrolled more than 4,000 students.

The institution which serves as the gateway for tertiary education in Grand Gedeh for more than 16 high schools that put out high school graduates every year has performed seven (7) graduation convocations with a total of 591 (415 Males & 176 Females) graduates including 39 Registered Nurses. These qualified and competent professionals are now supporting the growth and development of Grand Gedeh and Liberia as a whole in both private and public interventions. It also enhances the academic lives of Liberia's student population especially in the southeastern region and Grand Gedeh in particular to make responsible citizens, productive members of society, and agents of positive change through the provision of the right academic formation.

We are committed to driving student success in a world of diversity and change. We build on the deep and powerful legacy of our experience from the Grand Gedeh University College over the past 10 years to prepare our students with the skills and mindsets to lead in this 21st Century. The present and future needs of our students and the country (Liberia) is our paramount concern as we will recruit, train and get them ready to be placed into the workforce.
